“This exhibition (11-20 October) represents the coming together of three artists, spanning the Highlands and Islands, who share a common interest in elemental material and process. Through their work, each individually draws from the northern landscape and references their own notion of community and place.”

This has been a great chance for me to revisit some time based clay installation ideas from over the years. The effect of water on dry clay can be quite dramatic. These works gives a chance to see how structures disintegrate and change over time, water being the agent of that change. Also included are experiments with porcelain and newsprint creating pieces as fragile as memories.
CIRCUS is a collective of practising, professional artists and producers committed to making contemporary art accessible to a broader Highland audience as well as supporting recent art graduates from our area.
