Returning to one of my favourite galleries, Beaux Arts Bath, in the beautiful South West of England. I have been doing back to back firings to make work for this show. Wood firing, gas firing and three rounds of raku. There are some rich autumnal feeling Forest pieces, new Monolith lidded jars, timeless raku fired Erosion Bowls and Earth Jars. Beaux Arts Bath is a contemporary art gallery showing paintings, sculpture and ceramics. Founded in 1979, it is the longest established independent gallery in the city of Bath. It has a high reputation for showing the ceramics of UK and international artists working in clay.
I don’t think I will be able to be at the opening on the 14th sadly, having only just returned to Skye after giving a demonstration in Sussex. I hope you will enjoy the work none the less.
