A hand made Forest cup or bowl with dark iron tenmoku glazed interior. Made with a high iron content clay and layered with porcelain slip before texturing. The exterior surface is left unglazed and reminds me of the scrubby birch forests of West Scotland. This bowl has been wood fired with local pine which has given it a rich toasted surface with areas of satin sheen where most exposed to the flame. The interior glaze is smooth, dark and food safe.
