Hand formed ‘Heaved’ Forest Floor bowl, wood fired. Made with a high iron content clay and layered with porcelain slip before texturing and stretching the form. The exterior surface is left unglazed. This bowl has been wood fired with local pine which has given it a rich toasted surface with areas of satin sheen where most exposed to the flame.The interior glaze is a rich, dark tenmoku. Wonderful feel in the hand from the protrusions into the texture.
Stoneware, suitable for use with liquids, food safe.
