Small Heaved Ground Forest Floor Bowl

A small hand sized Heaved Ground Forest Floor Bowl. Made from grogged dark iron clay, with porcelain slip overlay. The texture comes from drying the surface of the white slip and stretching the clay from the inside. I have pushed from the inside to form swelling nodules which extenuate the surface texture even more. It feels wonderful in the palm of the hand. It has a dark, almost black tenmoku glazed interior and has been wood fired giving a treacly tone to the texture.
