A small Riven Cup with ash glaze interior, fired in the wood kiln.
The textured surface is left unglazed and takes on colour and markings during its firing in a charcoal filled saggar box within the wood kiln (also known as tanka firing). The smooth interior glaze has is transparent allowing the colour of the clay to show through.
These cups are great for sipping whisky, Scotch of course!
