A 3 sided hand made cup (or yunomi) with red iron kaki glaze interior. By December the clumps of tall deer grass on the hill are dry and bleached. The colour becomes pale like straw with pockets of dark damp earth showing through. The textured surface is left unglazed and takes on colour and markings during its firings. This piece was saggar fired and then refired in the main body of the wood kiln.
